joanne pang
Joanne Pang is an artist and design lecturer at Lasalle College of the Arts. She explores the relationships between bodies, memory, and space through site-specific installations, paintings, and drawings. She graduated with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Visual Communication at The School of Arts, Design and Media in Nanyang Technological University, Singapore and a Masters of Fine Art at The Royal Danish Art Academy, Charlottenburg sculpture department, in Copenhagen, Denmark. She has worked for reputable graphic design firms such as Scandinavian Design Lab, FutureBrand Uxus, and Ministry of Design.
Her first solo exhibition was held at a void deck in Singapore (2009). She has participated in group shows in Sinagapore Art Museum (2012), 10th International Poster Triennial in Toyama, Japan (2012), Kunsthal Charlottenborg, Copenhagen (2013), Copenhagen Artweek (2015), Kilometre of Sculpture, Rakvere, Estonia (2016) and Shiryaevo 9TH Biennale of Contemporary Art in Russia (2016). Recent exhibitions include a solo show at Supernormal Gallery and a group show at Taksu Gallery (2018), Chan+Hori Contemporary, Singapore (2018) and at Institute of Contemporary Singapore (2019).
Joanne Pang is a recipient of numerous awards art and design awards such as Singapore Young Photography Award (2012), Singapore Design Awards (2012) and 2018 UOB Painting of the Year(Singapore), Established Artist Category, Gold Award.
